In 2016, the Yancheng Municipal Government has actively promoted the “Five Zones – One City” urban development strategy and promoted the development of the “Five Zones”.

Pioneer Island Eco-Zone, is the first of the “five zones” and is a demonstration area for the renewal of the old city which is an important part of realizing the “one city” development goal of new urbanization.

The river junction and redevelopment sites are the heart of the city center and create a link between the developed part of the existing city and the future urban extension.
